The Brief
Video to narrate the corporate transition from the previous company to the new “OM”. Art direction by Prospero Di Veroli. The concept: inserting bioluminescent jellyfish through compositing into real images of OM offices — creatures floating in space as a metaphor for transformation and new beginnings. Project developed from Rome.
The Challenge
Integrating bioluminescent 3D jellyfish into real photographs of OM offices believably. The jellyfish had to feel physically present in the space: lighting coherent with the environment, reflections on glass, interaction with surfaces. All while maintaining a dreamlike, surreal atmosphere.
The Solution
I created the jellyfish in 3D and integrated them scene by scene into the office images through compositing in After Effects. Each jellyfish emits its own light that interacts with the surrounding environment — reflections on glass walls, luminous halos on surfaces, coherent shadows. Color grading in DaVinci Resolve to unify the cinematic blue-green look that transforms the office into an aquarium.
The Result
A video where jellyfish float naturally through OM spaces, transforming a real office into a surreal, poetic environment. The visual metaphor for corporate transition is immediate: something new and luminous inhabits a familiar space.
