Ipotesi Metaverso
Role: Motion Designer

The Brief
Palazzo Cipolla, Via del Corso, Rome. From April to July 2023, the 19th-century palazzo hosted Ipotesi Metaverso — one of the first international exhibitions exploring the metaverse concept through art, technology and digital philosophy. The initial brief: animate the exhibition logo.
The Challenge
The exhibition project and the artworks on display inspired me to go beyond the brief. Instead of a single logo animation, I envisioned four variations — four visual interpretations of the metaverse concept, designed as standalone video installations. The challenge: creating complex particle systems in continuous loops, visually hypnotic and technically flawless for large-format screen projection.
The Solution
I designed four animations in After Effects with Stardust, building particle systems that simulate vortexes, portals, energy waves and transforming organic structures. Each variation explores a different aspect of the theme — from cosmic to microscopic — while maintaining visual coherence with the logo and exhibition identity. Each animation was optimized as a seamless loop for continuous playback on large-format screens. Original music composed by Marco ‘Korben’ del Bene.
The Result
The gallery chose to display all four looping videos at the exhibition entrance, as if they were part of the show itself. From a logo animation brief to four video installations welcoming visitors — the kind of result that happens when a project inspires you to push beyond.
