The Brief
Television commercial for the Italian Ministry of Equal Opportunities, broadcast on major Italian networks. Directed by Paolo Scarfò. The creative concept: a 3D cage imprisoning the victim, a metaphorical visualization of the condition of stalking victims.
The Challenge
Integrating a 3D element — the cage — into scenes shot with actors, with camera movements and complex actions. The cage had to feel physically present in the scene, with shadows, reflections and interaction with ambient light. All VFX and compositing work managed from Rome.
The Solution
Cage modeling and animation in 3ds Max, camera matching from footage for precise insertion. Compositing in After Effects with keying, shadows projected onto actors and color correction to integrate 3D with real footage. Final color grading in DaVinci Resolve. Directed by Paolo Scarfò.
The Result
Commercial broadcast on major Italian television networks for the Ministry of Equal Opportunities. The visual metaphor of the cage works on an emotional level — the viewer feels the constraint without needing words.
